The hero of the novel “Blocades”, a teenager Peter, was not much different from his fellow citizens - his parents were repressed in 1937, and the boy took up his uncle and aunt. The war found eleven -year -old Peter in the country in Borschevo near Leningrad, where he encountered a German saboteur. Together with Aunt, Peter manages to return to the city to full environment. In the blockade city, the main character passed a series of trials: in the national squad he extinguishes enemy “lighters” and is on duty at bomb shelters, meets daily with death, starving due to the theft of grocery cards.
